Higher Education Scholarships

Together in Hope provides scholarships for low-income, Filipino students to attend Harris Memorial College, an education institution in Manila committed to providing quality education to underprivileged students who would not otherwise have an opportunity to attend college. Students can choose between five degree programs, including a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education, Church Music, and Kindergarten, Elementary, and Secondary Education. Students who attend Harris Memorial College also benefit from the College's outstanding outreach and community initiatives in collaboration with the College's Center for Community Extension Services and Development, the Center for Christian Education and Discipleship, and the Doris Lou Willis Center for Early Childhood Education.

Christian Ministry National Seminar

In April 2011 in Manila, Philippines, Together in Hope, in collaboration with Harris Memorial College, will facilitate a national conference intended for over 250 Christian leaders and educators in the Philippines and the United States. The conference will focus on Christian ministry and education, and conference participants will have the opportunity to visit four communities outside of Manila to explore possible community development projects. Presenters at the conference will include Diane McGehee, Founder of Together in Hope and Pastor of Bellaire United Methodist Church in Texas, and Reuben Manabat, Pastor of Bethany United Methodist Church in the Philippines. If you would like to participate in the conference, please contact Diane McGehee by email at Diane.McGehee@togetherinhope.org.
